Early childhood professional development training

"A Taste of Teacher and/or Parent Talk" is a one (1) hour Seminar to introduce you to the Parent Talk System which is a style of communicating that creates emotionally healthy relationships, builds confidence and teaches responsibility and respect. It is based on the premise that as teachers and caregivers your choice of words and your communication style are critical to the self-esteem, emotional health and personal empowerment of the children you interact with daily. You will be empowered and excited to immediately and effectively apply three (3) new skills in your daily work with children and families. Workshops are presented in person or online with Zoom.

"Group Staff Development " is designed for St. Charles County, Missouri area preschools and care centers. It is a series of three in-person workshops, two hours each, including time to practice and role play. Participants receive 6 Clock Hours of credit toward your Missouri Professional Development requirements. I lead your staff in learning the 3 highly effective discipline strategies of the Parent Talk System. In addition your staff will learn and practice language patterns that cause children in your care to grow in self-confidence and self-esteem. The skills learned collectively work to empower children to make appropriate choices, modify inappropriate behavior and increase children's self-responsibility. Added conference sessions may be scheduled, as desired, for a nominal fee.

"The Power of a Teacher's Words Workshop" is an inspiring 2-hour session designed especially for Missouri Child Care Providers and Early Childhood Education Professionals. Each participant receives two (2) Professional Development Clock Hours Credit. Master the art of heading-off and diffusing power struggles using 'Shared Control' and the power of choice! Discover the highly effective alternative to, “Don’t…”! Learn and practice the most effective ‘praise statements’ that build children’s confidence and foster long-lasting self-esteem. Acquire invaluable skills of respectful communication and guidance and that project confident leadership. Registration ends Monday, June 30. Register below.
